The Twilight Saga: New Moon Trivia - Part 1

No matter how ardent a fan you are, there is something that you would’ve missed. Here are some New Moon facts that might have gone past you. Recently MTV did some hard hunting and unearthed these behind the scenes. Bound to catch you by the ear!!

Fact 1: No Love without a Window

The Twilight Saga New MoonBella swan’s bedroom did not have a window in the Twilight. In New Moon it has a new one. A scene in which Jacob does a ninja style leap to get to her room, the window helps him get to his lady love. This was done deliberately to have Jacob show off his abilities. The sequels were shot in Vancouver to incorporate the changes while the first movie was shot in Portland and Oregon.

Fact 2: Can’t mess with Kirsten Stewart

If you thought actress Kirsten Stewart was petite and fragile then you are wrong. Actor Chaske Spencer would testify. While filming a fight scene with Kirsten, the 6ft.2 hunk had souvenirs all over his face. He did try to put on a brave face but that must have hurt. Wonder if his pack of wolf boys howled at his plight.

Fact 3: Get your airline right

You can’t fly Virgin from Seattle to Italy. Bella and Alice didn’t know that of course. A scene near the end of the movie shows Bell and Alice obviously flying a Virgin airline flight. Or may be it is possible if you are trying to save a lover Vampire. Richard Branson can’t risk a Vampire’s wrath. Can he?

Fact 4: Reading helps

All the actors on the set would tell you that Chris Wietz is a very good director. Wietz has a unique way of working. When the actors arrived on the sets he had all of them read a 20 page pamphlet which contained his plan for the film. The orientation handouts must have reminded them of school. We know it works and wonder if he got the idea from big brother Paul.

Fact 5: Gimme Red

Where does Jacob get his work out? Certainly not the community gym. Don’t say canines not allowed!

You guessed it right. Home sweet home.

The first movie did not show his house. In New Moon he has one. The rundown home of the Quileutes had to be shown and the makers of the film searched hard until they found one. The house fit the bill in all ways except that it was green in color. They can’t have it that way because it was described as a red colored house in the book. So they had it painted.

Fact 6: Robert Pattinson can sing

Robert Pattinson can compose and sing. He contributed two songs to the original Twilight movie in 2008. He is also an accomplished guitarist and pianist. This is one desirable Vampire.
